What's the key element to make you think creatively in your life?

As Prof. Ali said we have 2 systems in our brain and sometimes we are too 'lazy' to use system 2 to think, creative think.

But what's the key element to make you , or push you think creatively? Afraid of losing job? Afriad of making less money?

Afraid of being replaced by others? These kind of pressure make you think creatively. And does that mean high pressure is the key

driver for innovation? What's your opinion on this?

Maybe positive, eager to make the world better, make people happier; or to leave your name on the histroy:)

The motivation is always one important part to create something.

If we can conduct such kind of experiment with 2 groups exclude the noise like age,IQ, EQ, education. Which group do you think will provide more creative innovation?

Group 1- Testing people are provided with rich material to meet daily needs. Food, drink, clothes and living/working enviroment and very good. Their target is to provide 10 qualified innovations in 6 months. If they failed to achieve the target they will be fined $10 for each one and no more punishment. ( You can consider the punishment is negligible.)

Group 2- Testing people have the same material supplies, same living/working enviroment. And they shared the same goal with group 1's. But different is if they failed they will lose everything they have.

So what's your idea on this?

Agree with Meiqi, motivation is the root of creativity. But I'm thinking if you really have a innovation project, how to manage the upexpectation and failure? How to get back from mistake to main track? Those creative management is also quite critical.
